History

ER Consulting Inc has its origins in a doctors’ partnership created in 2001 to manage the emergency unit at Sandton Medi-Clinic. Over the next four years the number of ER Consulting Inc managed units grew to three and the vision of ER Consulting Inc was borne.

In January 2005 the partnership was converted into an incorporated medical practice. In 2007 ER Consulting Inc signed a contract to manage its fourth emergency unit. From 2008 exponential growth saw five new units being added and February 2009 brought the total number of ER Consulting Inc managed units to ten.

ER Consulting Inc is now the leading independent emergency unit management company in South Africa, managing fourteen emergency units nationally. The ER Group was formed in early 2009 to facilitate the
expansion of the ER divisions. The group comprises of four companies, ER Consulting Inc, ER Corporate (Pty) Ltd, ER Hospitals (Pty) Ltd and ER Advantage Medical Investments (Pty) Ltd.
