ER Consulting Inc doctors are amongst the best in the world having gone through an exhaustive process of paperwork and due diligence, interviews and scorecards to gain employment with the largest independent emergency medicine management company in Africa.

Our doctors are all registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa for independent practice. This means that they are recognised by the governing body as competent to work independently in the private sector. In order to gain registration for independent practice a doctor must undergo some nine years of primary medical training, internship and community service through an accredited university training program. That however is not enough for ER Consulting Inc and our doctors are mandated to attain further qualifications in advanced paediatric, cardiac and trauma life support.

Qualifications alone however don’t equip a doctor for every eventuality, so ER Consulting Inc has developed a clinical governance system second to none. This clinical governance system, apart from performing the paper verification of a doctor’s qualifications, also assesses a doctor’s clinical proficiency through a Clinical Proficiency Scorecard, supplies doctors with real time clinical protocols for international best practice in the emergency departments and finally measures performance through a series of annual interviews and peer review sessions.
